What markets are available for single-unit or multi-unit development?We are only looking for qualified franchise partners interested in multi-unit restaurant development, and available territories can regularly change.What is the minimum number of restaurants I need to develop?P.F. Chang’s is seeking individuals or organizations capable of operating multiple locations. Candidates who have successfully operated multiple businesses may be suited to operating several P.F. Chang’s Territories.
What is the approval process?If you meet the criteria for consideration, you’ll kick off P.F. Chang’s potential partner vetting process for pre-qualification. Please complete the “Apply here for consideration” form. Once submitted, P.F. Chang’s Global Development team will contact you.
How long will it take once approved to, open my first restaurantThe typical development and opening timeline are 12-18 months. To meet this obligation, you will complete your market plan, site selection/real estate approval process, store design and construction, training, and rations.
How does the supply chain work? Do I have to import everything?NO. Some priority Ingredients and Raw Materials will have to be imported if our Culinary and Supply Chain team can't find a match in the local market. Although P.F. Chang's Culinary and Supply Chain works very hard to minimize the number of ingredients that need to be imported, each international market is different.
What type of marketing support would I receive?Our global marketing team uses a hands-on approach to supporting our international partners. Everything we create for the P.F. Chang's brand in the USA is available worldwide. In addition, our team assists our international partners in creating unique things for their local markets.
What type of training will I receive?New partners will receive executive training in one of the USA P.F. Chang's restaurants. The management team of the first two restaurants will go through the entire P.F. Chang's training. We will also assist with the first two openings in your market.
What kind of experience should I have?We require existing business infrastructure that can support the launch and development of P.F. Chang's (hospitality experience, preferably within the hotel or foodservice industry, is encouraged but not required)
What are the minimum requirements to become a P.F. Chang’s Partner?Liquidity= $5 Million, Net Worth= $7.5 million; Personal Guarantee of the franchisee
Will I receive a protected territory?P.F. Chang’s partners will receive a protected territory within boundaries determined by P.F. Chang’s within which they will have the sole right to own and operate P.F. Chang’s restaurants.
Does P.F. Chang’s allow its franchisees to source products locally?While some products may be imported, we prefer our partners, with the assistance of our Culinary and Supply Chain teams, to source the majority of food inventory within their own country.
What support does P.F. Chang’s Provide to partners?As a strategic partner, you’ll have relevant, robust tools and a holistic people support model that’s designed to have you stand out from the rest.
Business Development/Opening Units - Guide and advise partners on approach to evaluating market potential and key entry points, market mapping and restaurant site selection. Provide prototypical restaurant drawings and assist in adapting the layout, design and operations of the restaurant to ensure local market relevancy. Provide in-market support for initial restaurant openings.
Financial planning and analysis - P.F. Chang’s has built a solid foundation in financial-based decision-making, elevating the financial support function through the work done by the FP&A team, which is utilized to drive the company forward through planning and execution. We Guide partners on restaurant financial modeling, leverage profitability exercises, Profit and lose statements, and financial forecasting to ensure a sound and profitable business model.
New Restaurant Opening, Training, and Development - Training is more than just modules and materials, it is also about people and culture. Investing in people through learning and development is a vital piece to the success of our brand. Our training team is dedicated to supporting both our new and existing partners to ensure they have all the tools necessary to be successful and continue their growth.
Marketing - Marketing is essential to driving customer traffic, brand equity and creating brand awareness. Our in-house creative department and dedicated Marketing Team work together to develop traffic-building local and national marketing promotions. The P.F. Chang’s marketing leadership works with our partners to create well-thought-out P.R. Campaigns, annual calendars planning, local events, etc...
Culinary – P.F. Chang’s culinary leadership delivers innovative menu offerings to partners aligned with P.F. Chang’s wok tradition and flavors profile. Support activities include menu deployment, product innovation, and culinary training and development.
Supply Chain Management - Leverage P.F. Chang’s supply chain and supplier/partner relationships to provide purchasing logistics solutions and product procurement/sourcing.
